Kappa T-shirt

All of you sorority ladies (especially Kappa Kappa Gamma gals) this is such wonderful news for Greek life as a whole! I received an email from my sister, who works at the Kappa headquarters in Ohio. Please continue reading below.

There is a lot of buzz on social media re. a Kappa t-shirt that was designed by our UCLA chapter, Gamma Xi. For every sale, a portion of the proceeds goes to RIF and Kappa Foundation. We didn't hear about this as it was being developed but it is catching on with Kappas and the link is being sent virally. Here is the link in case you would like to order one.

"This past summer Gamma Xi Chapter received an invitation to participate in a sorority T-shirt design contest sponsored by Bloomingdale's and Sanctuary Clothing. Members of the chapter worked together for weeks to design a shirt for the contest. Amazingly, six months later, their design is available for purchase through Bloomingdale's! Each of the six groups participating were asked to create a shirt that depicted their sorority, national philanthropy and Bloomingdale's. Members of Gamma Xi, UCLA, worked together to create a T-shirt that is not only attractive, but is uniquely Kappa, containing owls, keys, fleurs-de-lis, the RIF logo and Bloomingdale's‘ “Little Brown Bag”. The runway show capped off the contest and took place at a new, local Bloomingdale's in Santa Monica, Calif., – many members of the chapter were in attendance to cheer for Kappa. With an amazing design and a runway model from UCLA, Kappa Kappa Gamma won the competition! The chapter was presented with a $500 check that was donated to Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) of Southern California. Place your order now! The Sanctuary “Kappa” Tee is now for sale on the Bloomingdale's.com, with $10 from each sale benefiting Kappa’s local and national philanthropies including RIF of Southern California and The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Congratulations to the ladies of Gamma Xi!"

A big thanks to Emily for letting us all know about this!
